A small first shop that proved itself, and the proper build that followed.

Starting point

kosdecor started with a deliberately small shop. It was not meant to do everything, it was meant to show whether the business worked: laser engraving on wood, 3D printing and vinyl cutting, every piece made by hand, sold without an in-house IT team. It worked, and the range grew. Today there are more than seventy pieces for the holidays alone, and the first version could no longer carry that.

What we built

• Rebuilt the codebase from the ground up, with a bespoke theme instead of a version that had grown over the years.
• One single flow: home page, range, product pages and customer account now follow the same logic and the same design, instead of each going its own way.
• Noticeably faster, from the first image to filtering the range. The first content now appears in roughly a quarter of a second.
• More attention on the individual piece, and the owner maintains the shop more easily than before, without a developer and without training.

Result

The new site has been live since the relaunch. The home page paints its first content in roughly a quarter of a second, it carries exactly one h1, and every image is labelled, decorative ones explicitly so. The owner maintains more of the shop herself than she did in the first version.
